I often tell my friends and family that a guy can turn you into a complete pycho. That's not entirely true though. It's the guy that's not meant for you that can turn you into a psycho. We often get into relationships that are not good for us and even we know that they are tocix we continue anyway.
We stay with men we don't trust, men we despise, men who make us feel insecure and make us doubt our worth. Why do we stay vele? Is it because we are afraid? Do we not know what we are worth? Do we feel pity for them? What is it that makes us stay in unhealthy relationships.
Perhaps it's being told by previous generations that "no man is perfect" and so we throw away all our standards ans accept all sorts of crazy behaviour because "no man is perfect".
We relate to people in different ways. Our energies as people are not the same. This is why you can be trusting with one person and untrusting with another. One person can bring the best and the other the worst out of you. That is the power of relation. Who relate or associate ourselves with completely determines how we act or interact with those people. You know the saying "birds of the same feathers flock together"? You cannot hang around a certain type of people and expect to be the exception.
Dating someone who loves you, protects you, prays for and with you can never be the same as dating an abuser who hurts you physically and emotionally. You are bound to react differently to these two people. The one might motivate you to turn into a prayerful and purposeful woman while the other might motivate you to smash their phone, follow them around, search their belongings etc.
We need to always check people's energies (motives, intentions). We need to ask ourselves if the people we hang around bring out the best or worst in us. Does your company motivate you to be better? Not make you feel intimated and scared ? Scared to be the best version of yourself? If so, change your company. We need to start taking care of our souls and that means limiting our time with certain people, watching what we say to others and being careful of what we take in. We need to guard our hearts.
